Privacy Policy
Nobla — last updated 19 August 2026
Nobla is a survey and proposal app for UK painters and decorators. This policy explains what we store, why, and who else can see it. It describes what the app actually does rather than what it might one day do.
Who we are
The data controller responsible for the personal information described in this policy is NOBLA LTD, trading as Nobla, 66 Paul Street, London, England, United Kingdom, EC2A 4NA. For any privacy question, or to exercise any right below, contact legal@nobla.app.
What we store
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Your email address and account credentials | To sign you in and keep your work attached to you |
| Your business details — company name, contact details, logo, VAT status | To put them on the proposals you send |
| Your customers' names, addresses and contact details | Because you entered them, to produce a proposal for that job |
| Survey content — areas, surfaces, conditions, your notes and site photos | To build the proposal, and so you can reopen the job later |
| Proposals, prices and their sent versions | A sent proposal is a record, so it is kept as sent |
| Payment records you enter, and payments taken by card | So you know what has been paid on a job |
| Your bank details, if you enter them | Only to show your customers where to pay you |
Your customers' details are your records. You control them, and Nobla holds them on your behalf.
Where it is stored
In the United Kingdom and European Economic Area. The database and file storage
are hosted by Supabase in the eu-west-1 region (Ireland), and analytics
use PostHog's EU host.
Who else processes it
| Service | What it receives |
|---|---|
| Supabase | Your account, surveys, proposals, photos and payment records — the app's database and storage |
| OpenAI | Only the note text of a survey area, to read it back as structured facts, and only from our server. Notes are sent with retention switched off, so OpenAI does not keep them. No customer name, address or price is ever sent. |
| Stripe | Card payment details, if you enable card payments. Nobla never sees or stores a card number. |
| RevenueCat | Your subscription status, identified by your Nobla user ID |
| Apple | Your subscription purchase, if you subscribe. Apple handles the payment; Nobla never sees your card. |
| Sentry | Crash reports. Personal data is stripped before sending. |
| PostHog | Product analytics — which steps are used, never what is in them. No note text, customer, address or price. |
| Google Places | What you type into an address field, to suggest addresses |
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data, or your customers' data, to anyone.
- We do not use your surveys, proposals or notes to train AI models.
- We do not put note text, customer details, addresses, prices or bank details into analytics or crash reports.
- We do not show your data to other Nobla users. Accounts are isolated from each other at the database level.
Photos
Site photos you attach are stored privately and are readable only by your account. They are not public, and they are not indexed.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete a survey or customer and it is removed.
Deleting your account deletes everything, including your payment records. Nobla does not hold your money and is not your accountant: the duty to keep accounting records for six years is yours and attaches to your own books, so we do not claim a reason to keep data you have asked us to erase. Export anything you need before you delete, because we cannot recover it afterwards.
Deleting your Nobla account does not cancel a Nobla Premium subscription. Only you can do that, in your App Store account settings.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. You can delete your account from within the app, which removes your data. Email legal@nobla.app and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Children
Nobla is a tool for working tradespeople and is not intended for under-18s.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
